fring 3.40 is now available for Samsung handsets
Hi,
As you remember, we’ve recently released fring 3.40 for Symbian handsets, fring’s most social version to date. We are happy to announce that 3.40 is now available for Samsung (Symbian) handsets as well!
This new version includes the following features:
- Unification hints (manual/ GSM+IM services)
- User profiles
- Bug fixes
This version is available for Samsung devices including the Omnia HD.
As always, we’d love to hear your feedback.

So nice to see this release. I am a big time fring user and recently bought omnia hd. I tried in omnia HD and it works cool!
Fring rocks!!!
But it semms like you have removed loudspeaker option from this omnia version. Could you add that also in next release??

I changed my handset from Nokia E51 which I had a perfect fring experience with, to SAMSUNG S8003 JET but there’s only minifring available for the huge potential of this phone.
considering the requests made on this page and the availability of the SAMSUNG Developer’s Kit, I hope that your developers would consider unleashing some of the power in this handset by developing the full version of fring for it.

Good information. Nowadays I just got a Samsung Omnia SCH-i910 inside the mail from ebay, and it at this time would seem that it is at stock settings for that Verizon Network. I plan to use this mobile phone on Metro PCS. I also desire to put Windows Mobile 6.five on here, but I’m not positive which order I need to do this in. Must I carry it to Metro PCS as is and have it activated, after which afterwards flash the ROM with 6.five? Or should I modify the ROM first and then take it to Metro PCS? I’ve been browsing close to and I’m unable to discover the solution to this.
