Default 3.37 Symbian - new version

Hi Guys,

We've just released a new version for Symbian 9 (Nokia) devices.
The version has a few bug fixes and support for future add-ons (sorry, can't tell you what they are )

The Nokia 5800 is not yet supported with this version but believe me, we *are* working on it. It's not just a new device. It's the first s60 touch screen device and therefore it requires some more attention. Just be patient (I know it's hard)

Let us know how it goes.

Default Nice but memory use still not acceptable

The good: Although no new features for the user since 3.36.15 and 3.35.40 it still works quite smoothly.

The bad: Memory use of version 3.37.16 is 8 MB which is down from 9 MB in 3.36.15. Good work, keep at it. Since 3.35.40 uses 5 MB and basically has all the same features, again I will quickly revert to the older version. Feel free to join. http://www.fring.com/forums/showpost...0&postcount=15

The ugly: The Gmail notifier add-on is a rather basic viewer. I'd like to see the inbox and functionality more like System Seven push mail (in beta) (www.seven.com) than as a simple weblink for Gmail for mobile. Also the notifier doesn't really notify as it doesn't call to attention by any signal and only sometimes brings the application to the front.

Regards

fring is doing good, always having new versions but very very little improvements.

one area i think you really need to improve is the voice quality. because the voice is compressed too high right now, so the quality is very bad (to save bandwidth)

nowadays everyone has wifi or 3g connection, i think fring should develop a better codec that will use more bandwidth and yield better voice quality.

Just downloaded the new version 3.37.16, but still there is no option of changing one's status (away, be right back, online etc).

It goes BADLY!

Every time I run Fring it still, yes STILL, resets my Skype privacy options from accepting calls and chats only from people in my contacts list to accepting calls and chats from anyone!

Every time I run Fring on my Nokia N95-3 I have to remember to go back into Skype on my desktop to set my privacy settings from fring's "Anyone" to how I want them; "Only people in my contact list".

I do NOT want to be interrupted with stupid chat requests from spammers!

I want to only receive chats and calls in Skype from people I know!

I don't like Fring changing my privacy settings!

Question

.

Why has no one from Fring support ever commented on why Fring insists on changing the Skype privacy settings each time Fring is run on a mobile phone?
