Do you also have ICQ withdrawals when away from your PC? Fear no more! Now your ICQ buddies are in your pocket at the beach, pool, countryside… anywhere you have 3G, GPRS, EDGE or Wi-Fi coverage!
ICQ functions just like our other fring-integrated IM services, integrating all your ICQ buddies into your fring contact list together with your Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk and regular phonebook contacts. So how can you start fringing with ICQ? It’s very easy! If you’re already a fringster, go to Options --> Settings --> Configure Services, scroll down to select ICQ. Just add your ICQ number and password, and we’ll do the rest to make sure all your ICQ buddies are integrated into your fring contact list so you can start chatting & calling buddies right away! If you’re not yet a fringster, become one download here and during your quick download process it will prompt you to add services. Note: We’re currently still working on the display functionality so depending on your handset, you may not yet see your ICQ buddies highlighted on the top of the screen; instead the fring icon will be highlighted to indicate fring or ICQ contacts. Once we resolve this challenge, will update fring and you will see ICQ on your IM toolbar. |

Hello!
First of all thank you! You're really doing a great job!!! I got a SE p990i and just installed fring. Surprisingly i've found an option to use my icq account. Wow, that's just great! And I even receive messages in russian, with the proper letters and readable. but... yes i can send messages but from the other side (ICQ) don't get them at all. What can I do about it? Guess it's a bug or may be I'm doing something wrong? Thank you for helping!!! |

Hi,
I've installed the latest version (3.23) on my N95 and lost the loudspeaker function. The button now forces a hangup. Is this a known issue? Cheers, Stuart |

Yes, this is a feature that we had to take off so we can use a better audio processor. We plan to bring it back soon. |

Oh so lovely ! Since I am new here, and I have figured that ICQ is already added. Very good news for ICQ users indeed !

I have 3.23 ver. on my Nokia E50 installed, I use ICQ and have no problems typing with cyrillic symbols. But I receive messages from my russian friend in east-european recoded symbols (totally unreadable). My friend uses original ICQ client and I have no such a problem using ICQ-like clients.
Can I resolve this or this is an internal problem? Thank you. |

Well, I've just found out that there is no unicode support in the latest version. But Khludeyev Andrei (post 5512) has above said that he had no problem receiving messages in russian. How can it be?
