Thumbs down E71x: fring keeps restarting

Hello,

Fring worked fine the first time until I closed the app.
Not it starts with 'Testing connection' (WLAN) and stays in a loop of
testing connection, logging in, closing and reopening the app.

When I cancel a connection test and define 3G as connection type it goes back to its loop.

App is not useable.

We are aware to the issues with the E71x - it should take some time to fix it but we'll do our best here.

Thumbs down

The installer seems to be the same version 3.37 build22 however, this installation does not have the restart/login issue.

For now I was not able to reproduce the issue mentioned above with this version.

Thanks a million! So far seems to work like a champ on my E71x.

I am making this clear in a post on my site, Nokia Experts, soon.

Glad it worked for you guys.
It's really strange that the E71 is Symbian 9.2 and the E71x is 9.3!
That was the problem.

Yes, it makes a difference.
The E71 is Symbian 9.2 while the E71X is 9.3

You can download fring by launching fring.com on your handset's browser.

Support,

the download link m.fring.com through wap still does offer the fring92.sis for 9.3 FP2 phones.

Only the manual link you mentioned in your earlier post does work.

Post E71 keeps restarting .. loading ..

E71: I upgraded to the latest version today. It worked for several hours.
Then I went to 'Options' and clicked on fringtones and since then it was continuously looping with the "fring is loading..." screen after short intervals.

I have tried removing the application and reinstalling it a few times directly through mobile and through PC (fringSymbian92.sis). Now, after the 3rd or 4th reinstall, the looping is gone but fring fails to start when I try to open the application .. it remians on the "fring is loading..." screen for about a second and closes (back to the menu icons/list).
