To better protect your privacy, we provide this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explaining our online information practices and those related to use of fring’s downloadable software, and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used at the Site and via fring’s software. Introduction

We are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you share with us.

Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, personal profile, a home or other physical address and an email address or other contact information.

In order to provide you with the services given under the Site, you must provide us with your telephone number that will be used by us as your User ID for the Site and we will send via SMS to such telephone number the software that you download from the Site. In order to download from the Site or to provide other services we may request additional Personal Information such as your name  the country that you are resident in, your email address (which will be used for the purpose of resolving password problems) or other items.

If you would like to receive any email notifications or updates from us regarding support services, as well as goods and services which may be of interest to you, please register to create a profile and provide your email address. At a later time, you may add additional Personal Information to your profile.

When you use fring’s software, we may record information about your usage, such as when you use the fring software, the size of your contact list and the contacts you communicate with, and the frequency and size of data transfers. Information displayed or clicked on in the fring software interface (including UI elements, settings, and other information) is also recorded.

We may transfer that Personal Information within fring or to fring's third-party service providers and business partners, but only to provide services on the Site or to you, across borders, and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world.

Uses

We use the information we collected internally to deliver the best possible service to you, such as improving the fring software user interface and maintaining a consistent and reliable user experience.

On a regular basis, we delete activity information associated with your account.

When you use fring software, people included in your contact list may be able to see your online presence, username, and any information that you choose to add to your profile, including images, links, and custom status indicators. Users may choose to present them as being unavailable.

We may relay content for users in some cases.  

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Some of our Site pages utilize "cookies" and other tracking technologies. A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about Site activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall Personal Information previously indicated by a Site user. You may choose whether or not to provide Personal Information to fring. The notices we will provide where fring collects Personal Information on the Site should help you to make this choice. If you choose not to provide the Personal Information we request, you can still visit most of the Site, but you may be unable to access certain options, offers, and services that involve our interaction with you.

You can change your fring account settings at any time in the "Settings" section of Google Talk. You may, for example, modify your online presence status or block particular users through the user interface. 

You can uninstall the fring software at any time through the handset. When you uninstall the fring software, all related materials and information will also be deleted. Your other files and applications remain unaffected.

Security

We have implemented reasonable security policies, rules and technical measures to protect and safeguard the Personal Information under our control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction or accidental loss. Nevertheless, fring is not liable for any damages resulting from any security breaches, or unauthorized and/or fraudulent use of your User identification information.  All our employees and data processors that have access to, and are associated with the processing of your Personal Information, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your information.

Access/Accuracy

To the extent that you do provide us with Personal Information, fring wishes to maintain accurate Personal Information. You may check your profile and add information, delete information or correct any incorrect information.

Collection of Information by Third-Party Sites

Our Site may use a reputable third party to present or serve advertisements that you may see at our Site. These third party ad servers may use cookies, web beacons, clear gifs or similar technologies to help present such advertisements, and to help measure and research the advertisements' effectiveness. The use of these technologies by these third party ad servers is subject to their own privacy policies and is not covered by our Privacy Policy.
